The SaaS console is running in the cloud, and it’s hosted, managed, and operated by RIS. End-user workloads are orchestrated by the XOAP service and can run in a variety of public clouds and in your own datacenter.
Yes, both virtual desktops in your infrastructure, and Azure Virtual Desktop or AWS Workspaces. XOAP can further manage all the other services and systems you need to run your workloads. From image management, to user profile configuration.
There is no limit to the number of systems you can manage. Our infrastructure scales automatically with your needs and does not require dedicated infrastructure in your datacenter.

Yes. With XOAP you are able to manage your AWS Workspaces. You can install, configure and deploy applications and system configurations with DSC.
Yes. With XOAP you are able to manage your WVD’s. You can install, configure and deploy applications and system configurations with DSC. Operating System images can be created with image.XO. Full support will be implemented in 2022 with our platform.XO module.

No. An encrypted and secure connection is established over the Internet to the XOAP backend.
Yes, the respective modules have an API and can be accessed with authorized users.
We provide some basic modules that are available inside your account. Customers can download and upload their own modules. Additionally, modules from the PSGallery can be downloaded and then integrated into your account.
Our XOAP modules have a name prefix “XOAP” and a name postfix “DSC”. Further documentation can be found here
PowerShell DSC configures machine-related settings. Everything that can be configured through PowerShell can be implemented via PowerShell DSC. Write your own PowerShell DSC modules if you are missing specific functions.
Your dedicated PowerShell DSC Pull-Server is created automatically during account initialization. Our services are typically running in the Frankfurt region in EU.
The dedicated PowerShell DSC Pull-Server is automatically scaled with growing demand.
You can sign your local configurations if you want to upload your own mof files. If you choose to upload ps1 based configurations with our frontend, all configurations are automatically signed with our code-signing certificate.
We can restrict access to the Pull-Server by using client-certificates and IP-based access.
The PowerShell DSC Configuration Wizard is for convenience and for administrators who are new to PowerShell DSC. You can write your own configurations for multiple nodes and upload and manage them with our frontend. Locally written configurations currently cannot be edited with the DSC Configuration Wizard.
This is possible by uploading your multi-node configurations with the help of our frontend.
We provide you with several Image templates to get you started quickly. You are free to upload your own components and create Images that you need for your use case.
The applications are stored in the customer account of the XOAP backend. You have 1 TB of storage space at your disposal, which can also be expanded if required.
